Ahh these re-releases are killing me, maybe I should just download the album until they re-release it so that I can get the full album without buying the album twice, WTF?!
Lead singer, Patrick Stump, of Fall Out Boy recently spoke with Billboard.com in regards to a possible new album. Infinity On High is nearly 9 months old and is already platinum, but Patrick said they have “an album worth of material”, but don’t expect a fifth album any time too soon. Stump continued to say “I don’t really feel like we’re done with this one yet, I feel like it’s still in its cycle. There’s a lot of songs on it I’m really proud of. I don’t think we have one really monster hit on this record like “Sugar,” but there are a lot of really strong individual songs. If a song is effective enough it’ll work as a single, and I think we have a lot of effective songs that aren’t necessarily monsters.”
In regards to the new material, Stump says the music is taking them in “some very different directions. There’s lots of really bizarre ideas on there, everything from folk to … actually, I was experimenting with piano phases, like Steve Reich, the composer. There’ll be some weird stuff, but at the end of the day, it’s probably just gonna be a pop record.” Even though they have new material, he also stated “There’s always something that hits me, like a sense of urgency — NOW is the time for an album — and we’re not there yet, I just get this kind of wanderlust of some kind to go back into a studio. It’s always a very defined point.”
Fall Out Boy has recently started touring with Cute Is What We Aim For, Plain White T’s and Gym Class Heroes on the Young Wild Things tour. Patrick Stump has kept busy lately, helping produce Cobra Starship‘s new album as well as working with Gym Class Heroes on their upcoming album. Outside of music he also recently filmed an episode of Law & Order, due to air in February 2008.

Hometown: British Columbia, Canada Genre: Rock, Punk, New Wave Sounds like: Fall Out Boy, The Exies, Blink 182 Current Album: Seven Second Surgery Myspace: myspace.com/fabordrive Official Site: fabordrive.com Faber Drive is ultra addictive really quick. They’ve somehow manage to come out with an album where every song has a chorus so catchy its irresistible. Faber Drive a solid band that I see to making a big sound in many ears and radio stations all over. Go listen to Tongue Tied or Second Chance on their myspace, and if you’re singing one of their songs moments after its over, then don’t hesitate to pick up their debut record, Seven Second Surgery. |

Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump que’s in Billboard.com about new songs that he has been working on. Stump stated, “I’ve got a bunch of songs written, but I think I’m going to wait a while before we release it, because I’m still really proud of this record and I want to kind of give it some space.” Their latest release, Infinity On High has only been out for nearly six months, so I’m sure we can expect still some time before the next release. It’d be interesting to see where they plan to go with their new music, considering all the collaboration they did on the latest release. I guess only time will tell…
It appears that Pete Wentz, renowned bassist for Fall Out Boy, has proposed to his girlfiend, Ashlee Simpson. Sources say that Wentz proposed to her after Fall Out Boys performance at Live Earth on July 7th, 2007.
A close friend to the couple said, “Ashlee and Pete are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace. She definitely doesn’t want a big circus wedding like [her sister] Jessica [Simpson] had when she married Nick [Lachey]. All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family, and a handful of people.”
Ashlee Simpson’s press officer has denied this being true, so I guess it’s going to remain quiet, or is this just a rumor?

Hopefully that filled in some information for ya, directly from the artists themselves!
Fall Out Boy has announce to MTV that they will be traveling to Uganda to rise awareness about displaced or forgotten children in Central Africa. Pete Wentz said the following about their upcoming visit:
The craziest thing I learned from working with people at Invisible Children is that if we sent one senior policy advisor to Northern Uganda, the potential for ending the war there [increases], And it hasn’t happened. If everyone writes in to their congressmen, it’s something we can actually do.
The charity sparked their interest from their labelmates Thrice who were early adopters. Thrice discovered the charity while taping a music video based on a fictional French film for their single “Image Of The Invisible.”
