ARTIST OF THE DAY
Underminded

Hometown: San Diego, CA
Genre: Hardcore, Metal, Punk
Sounds like: Evergreen Terace, August Burns Red,
Current Album: Eleven Eleven
Myspace: myspace.com/underminded
Official Site: underminded.com

Underminded was recently brought to my attention at a few guest appearances by lead vocalist Nick Martin on Chiodos latest release, Bone Palace Ballet. The deep coarse vocals of Nick Martin mixed with the perfect melodic hard metal simply rocks! Definitely worth a listen!

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY: Gym Class Heroes Clothes Off!

Nine years ago today UK newspaper the Daily Star ran a story claiming that R.E.M singer Michael Stipe had admitted that he was gay during an MTV interview shown in the US. Stipe was voicing his disgust at the killing of a young gay student in the US.

One day you’re flying, the next day you’re falling to pieces

What is a Daily Dose?

In a recent interview with an American college newspaper, The Maine Campus, Gerard Way had a few harsh words about the definition and over use of the word/genre “emo”. Way stated, “I think emo’s a pile of shit. I think emo is fucking garbage. It’s bullshit.” He continued to follow with, “I think there are bands that we get lumped in with that are considered emo and, by default, that starts to make us emo and all I can say is anyone actually listening to the records, put the records next to each other and listen to them and there’s actually no similarities.”

A few months back Gerard Way’s band, My Chemical Romance were a topic on The War on Emo, which was a feature in a Britsh newspaper, The Daily Mail. Way has declared war on emo himself. Where is this going?

Gerard Way, of My Chemical Romance, married Lin-Z of Mindless Self Indulgence Tuesday, September 3rd, after a concert in the Coors Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado. A promoter of the concert happened to be an ordained minister and wed the two after the concert later that night. There were pictures taken, but had been removed by the photographers request, but there is still a possibility of finding them online.

After all the hype over his recent engagement announcement, Gerard Way has shared with Kerrang! magazine that his band, My Chemical Romance plan to start working on a new album, the follow-up to The Black Parade. “It feels like it’s about the right time to be making a new record,” says Way. “Maybe that’s because ‘The Black Parade’ was talked about for so long before it was released, but it feels like that album’s been out for a long time now. It’s only been eight months but we’re already on our fourth single and we’ve played a lot of shows. ‘The Black Parade’ was the kind of record that you make but don’t necessarily have a burning desire to perform because its creation was almost the point,” he adds. “It was such an intense experience to make it, that there was almost a feeling of wanting to move on as soon as we released it. It was so artistically ambitious that it made us want to keep on creating.”

As details are released RedPillMusic.com will keep you posted with the latest.

After speculation about a ring Gerard Way, My Chemical Romance, has been wearing on his left ring finger, he has confirmed his engagement to Eliza Cuts, the bands stylist. Way spoke today at the Rock AM Ring festival in Germany and revealed to the audience his engagement. “The truth is I’m engaged and I’m really excited about it,” Way said, clarifying the ring’s significance.

No other details have been given about the date of the wedding and where.
