Thanks so much for your continued generosity. It has come to our attention that some of you have had difficulty locating the drop off location. The volunteers come from different organizations in every market. It could be any shelter, hospice, or safe house that serves that particular community. THE VOLUNTEERS WILL BE POSITIONED OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE TO THE FACILITY BEFORE YOU ENTER THE VENUE. PLEASE DO NOT BRING THE FOOD WITH YOU INTO THE VENUE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. In most cases the volunteers will be there 30 minutes before the doors open for the concert. To increase their visibility starting next week look for the big USA HARVEST banner.

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Pierce The Veil
Hometown: San Diego, CA Genre: Punk, Emo, Post Hardcore Sounds like: Senses Fail, A Change Of Pace, Endicott Current Album: A Celebration of an Ending Myspace: myspace.com/piercetheveil Official Site: When I first heard this band they went by a different name. Originally they were called Before Today. In late 2006 Before Today officially change their name to Pierce The Veil, same band, same music style. Their music is full of layered vocal melodies and complex guitar sounds. They signed in 2003 with Equal Vision Records. Pierce The Veil is one of their song titles when they were Before Today. Since changing their name they have release 2 new songs on their myspace. To hear some more of their music check out purevolume.com/beforetoday. Some of my favorite tracks include Failure Is Relative, Enlarge Your Hearts, and Staring At Backgrounds. They are currently working on a new album as an unsigned band. Look out to hear new music from these guys. |

Panic! At The Disco released A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out in 2005. It’s been almost two years since they’ve released new material. P!ATD has been working on their second album scheduled to be released this summer. Ryan Ross, lead guitar, stated that their next album will have a theme.
Ryan also said, “We all get together and created this – I guess you could call it a concept – that we all wrote and we were all involved with and pretty interested in.
It’s kind of a love story. It’s a timeless age of romantic, poetic fantasies.”
The band have yet to confirm their producer, but they have been working closely with Rob Mathes. P!ATD has told sources that they have complete four songs to date. And will continue to finish their next album in Los Angeles, pushing to release it this year.
NIN’s Year Zero is playable in full on their official website.

The Blackout
Hometown: Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, UK Genre: Rock, Screamo, Punk Sounds like: Chiodos, Funeral For A Friend Current Album: Blackout Blackout Blackout Myspace: myspace.com/theblackout Official Site: theblackoutmusic.co.uk I found this band from an old band I used to listen to, When Reason Sleeps. About 2 years ago When Reason Sleeps broke up and their 2 lead sings each started new bands, The Blackout and The Guns. Personally, I love the power rock of The Blackout. Every song is full of energy and blood curling screams. Their short 7 track EP is amazing, atleast. Some of my favorite tracks include Murder In The Make Believe Ballroom, You And Your Friends vs. Me and the Revolution, and It’s High Tide Baby. |

In 1999, the online song-lyric auction Hits Under the Hammer comes to a close, with sales exceeding expectations. The British-organized auction, at www.icollector.com, raises nearly $67,000 for the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Norwood Ravenswood children’s charities. The highest bid goes to the lyrics for “Please” by U2’s Bono, at $3,600.

Launch Radio Networks reports: The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which has become notorious for suing anyone from high school students to retirees for downloading music from the web, has gone after web sites such as Idolator that have posted leaked songs from the upcoming NINE INCH NAILS album, “Year Zero”. The problem, however, is that the tracks were leaked intentionally. Several songs from the album were left on computer hard drives at venues on the band’s current European tour, with fans finding and posting them on the web for others to download and swap. According to Billboard.com, the RIAA sent cease-and-desist emails to web sites that posted the tracks, leading one industry source to say, “These f***ing idiots are going after a campaign that the label signed off on.”
While a number of songs have been intentionally released, the entire NINE INCH NAILS album has not leaked online yet. The CD arrives on April 17.
In addition to the leaked tracks, the marketing campaign for “Year Zero” has featured cryptic messages on T-shirts and a maze of linked web sites that expand upon the album’s storyline of a future U.S. on the brink of apocalypse.
The same source told Billboard that NINE INCH NAILS frontman Trent Reznor views the campaign as a “new entertainment form.” The source added that the campaign will continue for the next 18 months.
“Year Zero” is reportedly the first of two concept albums, the second of which Reznor hopes to finish next year.
NINE INCH NAILS finishes its European tour on April 10 in Finland and has just announced another round of shows on that continent beginning in August. A trip to Australia and Japan is planned for May. North American dates have not been announced yet.

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA Genre: Alternative, Rock Sounds like: Chevelle, Theory Of A Deadman, Breaking Benjamin Current Album: Head for the Door Myspace: myspace.com/theexies Official Site: the-exies.com The internet is a beautiful thing, and if it weren’t for the internet I would have never discovered this band. At the same time other songs bring you right back to earth. They have three album releases with a fourth coming next month. Some of my favorite songs include Inertia, Hey You, and Kickout. |
