Fall Out Boy support Invisible Children Charity in Uganda

Comments Off on Fall Out Boy support Invisible Children Charity in Uganda

Fall Out Boy has announce to MTV that they will be traveling to Uganda to rise awareness about displaced or forgotten children in Central Africa. Pete Wentz said the following about their upcoming visit:

The craziest thing I learned from working with people at Invisible Children is that if we sent one senior policy advisor to Northern Uganda, the potential for ending the war there [increases], And it hasn’t happened. If everyone writes in to their congressmen, it’s something we can actually do.

The charity sparked their interest from their labelmates Thrice who were early adopters. Thrice discovered the charity while taping a music video based on a fictional French film for their single “Image Of The Invisible.”

Escape The Fate has ended their tour early with Bullet For My Valentine and The Confession.

Here’s the release by the band itself:

As some of you might have heard through other sources, last Friday we were indeed let go from the Bullet For My Valentine tour. We know you guys are disappointed, as are we. We, more than anything wanted to finish this tour and rock your faces off every night. Unfortunately, this decision was out of our control and we will not be playing any more of these shows.

But, we will be back ALL summer long, rocking The Hurley Stage on Warped Tour throughout the ENTIRE country. Also for all of our international fans, hold tight, we will have a pretty big announcement to make for the Fall. We love each and everyone of you. Escape The Fate fans are definitely the coolest kids on the block.

Love,

-Escape The Fate

Justin Smith(guitar) has officially quit/retired from Lorene drive! Below is his official statement to all of you:

Hey Everyone,

The past few months have been a crazy time for me. I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching. During this time, I came to a realization that my goals with Lorene drive have been met. Which ultimately led me to making the decision to retire.

I just want all of you to know that I enjoyed every single second I had in Lorene drive. I am a really lucky individual. All the great people and bands I met and made long lasting relationships with, I will never forget that. I love you all, and I’m going to miss everyone!! Me and Lorene drive are still friends and there is no bad blood or hard feelings. I wish them the best and know they will conquer the world!!! If you want to ask me a question or just keep in touch my profile is still the same and my email is:

justin@lorenedrive.com

Thank you for all the memories and making my dreams a reality!!

-justin

And here’s an update on their upcoming album:

We would like for all of you to know that we are home writting album #2, and gearing up for alot more touring!! The new album is sounding amazing so far and we await the day we get to share it with the world!

Parkway Drive has recently entered the studio to record their sophomore album. Lead singer, Winston McCall said the following about their new album:

Fans can expect a heavier, faster and more precise album than Killing With A Smile?. The new songs mark two years of intense touring, refinement and experience. The songs we are writing are the next step for us. We?re simply putting them out there for people to make of them what they will, but rest assured as far as we are concerned this is the album we have always wanted to write.

The band just completed a US tour with Comeback Kid, It Dies Today, This Is Hell and Endwell, and will follow with tours of Europe and Japan in June, then about a month of dates on the US Vans Warped Tour throughout July and August.

The Red New Record and Updates

Comments Off on The Red New Record and Updates

In a recent post by Red:

Hey Fans,

We hope you all are doing well…Here is the latest with the band.

We just ended the Sevendust tour and we have a few weeks off to get some work done at home. This past weekend Anthony was married to his wife Stephanie in a ceremony in downtown Nashville. It was a great day!

CBS is currently running commercials for the upcoming season of the TV show “Without a Trace” and our song “Let Go” is featured as the theme song for the commercials. The spot will run from the 29th of April to May 9th on CBS. Check it out!

We just recieved a Dove Award for “Rock Recorded Song of the Year” for “Breathe Into Me”. The ceremonies were held at the Grand Ole Opry house here in Nashville and will air nationwide in May. Thanks to all of you who requested the song throughout the year, it was an honor to recieve such an award.

For now we are taking time to rest before the madness of the summer touring schedule kicks in. We hope to see you all out there on the road.

We have been recieving hundreds of emails about the next record. To answer a few questions, we are in the writing process for now and we will be looking to get back into the studio sometime this fall to start recording. Currently we are laying down ideas while we are on the road. We are hopeful that a new record will release sometime before next summer. For now our touring schedule is running at a grueling pace, so it is a matter of finding the time.

Stay tuned here on myspace for our new video tour blog when we hit the road again with Three Day Grace. We will be leaving you at least 2 videos a week for the duration of the tour. We hope to see you all when we hit your area.
