ARTIST OF THE DAY
Faber Drive
Hometown: British Columbia, Canada Genre: Rock, Punk, New Wave Sounds like: Fall Out Boy, The Exies, Blink 182 Current Album: Seven Second Surgery Myspace: myspace.com/fabordrive Official Site: fabordrive.com Faber Drive is ultra addictive really quick. They’ve somehow manage to come out with an album where every song has a chorus so catchy its irresistible. Faber Drive a solid band that I see to making a big sound in many ears and radio stations all over. Go listen to Tongue Tied or Second Chance on their myspace, and if you’re singing one of their songs moments after its over, then don’t hesitate to pick up their debut record, Seven Second Surgery. |

I expect to hear these guys touring with some big artists, and making a big impression. This band is well developed and could only go one way…forward. Check out Suffocating on their myspace, great song. |

Back in 2003, London’s Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) formally cautions Pete Townshend for “accessing a Web site containing child abuse images” in 1999. Townshend-who was arrested in January on suspicion of possessing child pornographic material- is placed on a U.K. register of sex offenders where he is to remain thusly listed for five years. An MPS statement emphasizes that Townshend cooperated with the probe and did not possess any downloaded child-porn images.

Cinematic Sunrise
Hometown: Detroit, MI Genre: Punk, Alternative, Rock Sounds like: Brand New, So They Say Current Album: Myspace: myspace.com/cinematicsunrise Official Site: If there had to be another side band that I could see going somewhere, it’d be Cinematic Sunrise. Many are now familiar with The Almost, Aaron Gillepsie of Underoath’s side band, and the success that they’ve reached. Well as for leader singer of Chiodos, Craig Owens, Cinematic Sunrise is the same. With beautiful and calm emotions and harmony, the couple demos they’ve released are phenomenal. I’ll look forward greatly to hearing more music by these guys. |

In 1998 a bill is introduced in the Michigan state legislature that would regulate concert attendance by minors under the age of 18. SB 1000 would give local governments in Michigan the authority to decide whether specific concerts are harmful to minors. Prominent music industry organizations, including the Recording Industry Assn. of America (RIAA), plan to oppose the bill.

The Exies
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA Genre: Alternative, Rock Sounds like: Chevelle, Theory Of A Deadman, Breaking Benjamin Current Album: Head for the Door Myspace: myspace.com/theexies Official Site: the-exies.com The internet is a beautiful thing, and if it weren’t for the internet I would have never discovered this band. The Exies have a strong foundation in every song. They write songs that are powerful and some leave you feeling like you were left on a cloud. At the same time other songs bring you right back to earth. They have three album releases with a fourth coming next month. Some of my favorite songs include Inertia, Hey You, and Kickout. |
