Your favorite band and mine, Breaking Benjamin, was a no show for their Atlanta appearance yesterday and has been forced to cancel the remaining shows of their tour. Some questions and rumors arose as a result of this, like if the band is breaking up, but that is not true. Here is what Ben had to say on their website about the situation:
“What?s up guys? Just wanted to fill you in on what?s going on. I regrettably had to postpone some shows, because I?m not feeling well and haven?t felt 100% since November when I left the Godsmack tour four days early. I?m a private person, and I would like to keep my personal health to myself but I wanted to go on the record and tell everyone that this is nothing drug or alcohol related. As a matter a fact I have been completely clean and sober for 7 months. I?m working on seeing the best doctors and exploring every avenue possible to fixing this. In the meantime I?d like to say, that I appreciate the support and understanding of all Breaking Benjamin fans. You all mean the world to me. It kills me inside to have to let my fans down. But please understand that I did not choose to get sick. I?m working tirelessly to getting to the bottom of this so I can do what god put me on this earth to do.
P.S. As of yet plans have not changed for future tours nor am I aware of any plans of Breaking Benjamin breaking up.
Thank you for your understanding. I hope that we can make it up to those that we missed on this recent tour.
Much love,
Ben”
GREAT NEWS:

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Breaking Point
Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee Genre: Rock / Alternative / Pop Sounds like: Hinder, DoubleDive, and Default Current Album: Beautiful Disorder Myspace: myspace.com/breakingpoint Official Site: www.breakingpoint.com This band is pretty mellow but they have some great songs. Some of my favorites are Show Me A Sign, All Messed Up, and Goodbye To You which are all from their latest album “Beautiful Disorder” in 2005. These guys are a great band to get because they are not to hard and not to soft; they are right in the middle which I like a lot. Beautiful Disorder is just an awesome album in general; one you could listen to from start to finish. |

Waking Ashland Breaks Up
Sadly Waking Ashland announced today that they will be breaking up. Here is what they had to say:
“Hey all its been a while since we’ve posted an update. I’ll get straight to the point, we have decided to not continue on with Waking Ashland. We’ve been touring for 3 years non stop and, to state the obvious, thats a long time. Over the course of the band some irreconcilable differences developed. By the end I had gotten to a point with Waking Ashland where going forward just did not make sense any more.
With that said wed like to thank everyone that has ever supported this band in any way. All of you that have come to our shows, or let us sleep on your floors, or bought our cds, bought our shirts or supported us in anyway; Thank You! Without you we would have been nothing. We hope we were able to make music that some of you guys could enjoy and we hope you will continue to enjoy. You can still get our albums in stores or from tooth and nail and immortal records.
We will all be pursuing different things and we will all continue to make music for you to hear.
Im currently in the studio in Los Angeles working on a solo EP with Michael Rosas (Smile, Satisfaction, Sherwood). Im excited to get some of these solo songs done to share with you guys. Ill be posting the EP on Itunes and on Snocap on Myspace. Immediately after that Ill be doing a solo tour on the west coast; An Angle and Its Like Love will be supporting on some of the dates.
Following that I will unveil “The Honor Roll”. Im really excited about this project, we already have a bunch of songs in the works and cant wait for you guys to listen. Dan, Joe, and I plan on going into the studio on August 22nd to record the album. Wer’e also working on a US tour for around October; Japan Ill see you in November. Look for some demos on the myspace periodically.
