Michael Thomas, drummer for Bullet For My Valentine, was recently interviewed by UVTV. Here’s a few things he had to say:
This record is more of what we like to do…a lot faster than The Poison, it’s heavier. It’s more of the songs we wanted to do now, The Poison was like a collection of songs that were hanging around forever, three to five years and a few songs have been added to it but this album was written in the space of twelve months…in my eyes it’s a much better album. We write music as a band so we just leave the lyrics to Matt I don’t like the whole emo thing. There’s a song about warfare on this record, a song about someone bullying, then some about demons.
We’re still looking forward for a release date, tracklist, and artwork. Further details will be to come.
In a recent post by Bury Your Dead, they have cleared up any confusion, and made it official who their new lead singer is, Myke Terry. Read more:
With all the recent hurdles Bury Your Dead has faced we are still forging ahead, Michael Crafter sacrificed a lot to come to the US and help out on this tour but unfortunately for him he had to go home with short notice. This does not stop or slow us down in any way, we are completing this tour with the vocal contribution of Myke Terry, formerly of the band “Cassius”.We have not, and will not, cancel any shows on the remainder of this tour, these are trying times for Bury Your Dead but we make these changes to further improve the quality and longevity of this band. Thank you everybody for your support, we will see you shortly.

Another The Offspring Update
Dexter Holland of The Offspring has updated us once again with their progress of their current album:
Hey, I?ve read a few things out there where it has been suggested that some of the songs on our new record might be older material, like outtakes or re-recordings of old songs.
So I just wanted to let you know that the songs we?ve recorded for our upcoming CD are all completely new. We?re not putting any songs on the new record that were previously recorded. That would be cheating, wouldn?t it?
New Puddle Of Mudd Album

Paul McCartney has mentioned to Rolling Stone that the issues with The Beatles music going for sale online is “virtually settled”. We should expect to see the many great hits by The Beatles online, legally. They plan to release their entire collection online. No sale medium has been selected such as iTunes, Rhapsody, or Napster. Further details are still to come.

Matt from Motion City Soundtrack updates us on why they had to move their upcoming album release date back, significantly back:
i’m sorry this has all been so confusing. well, the truth is that the release date HAS been pushed back to september 18. we really wanted to hurry and get the record out on july 17, but it was proving to be more difficult as time went on. if i remember correctly, a bunch of you predicted that we’d be putting a record out around september-time and were REALLY surprised when you found out we chose july 17. well, you were right. we should have gone with YOUR guts. haha.
anyway, pushing the date back was the last thing we wanted to do – mainly out of respect for all of you. if it makes any difference, we feel a lot better having a little more time to breathe and more time to make final decisions. the bottom line is, we’re REALLY happy with the way everything is headed and we don’t want to rush anything just to meet a deadline.
thanks to each and everyone of you for understanding and for sharing your concerns. the last thing we wanted to do was upset the most important people in our careers (that’s YOU GUYS!).”
Senses Fail has updated us with the progress to two of their upcoming music videos. Read more below:
Hey Everyone,
We just wanted to let you all know that this past Monday and Tuesday we filmed a video for “The Priest and The Matador”. From what we’ve seen so far it looks like it’s gonna turn out really awesome. Thank you to all of you who sent in your submissions for the treatment for the video. We had some really great ones and it was hard to pick the winners. Hopefully we can have some pictures or video from the shoot up for you all to see soon. We will keep you posted when we know more about the release of the video.
Also our video for “Can’t Be Saved” is coming right around the corner, so keep your eyes peeled!
Here’s a little treat, a preview to what is going to be on the The Used‘s Lies For The Liars DVD:
