The Fall Of Troy – Manipulator error

Comments Off on The Fall Of Troy – Manipulator error

In a recent post by the band:

I am looking at the Manipulator artwork right now. There has been a CRITICAL typo in the liner notes…
One of our oldest, dearest, most talented friend Sang backup vocals on the following songs:
Cut Down All The Trees and Name The Streets After Them
The Dark Trail
Quarter Past
Oh! The Casino!?
As well as any of the keyboard/organ parts you hear. She wrote all of the keyboard parts and arranged them.
I feel absolutely terrible about this typo. I did NOT play a note of keyboards on this record. She deserves 100% credit for her contribution to the completion of this record.
We hope to bring her out when we do a headlining tour supporting Manipulator in the coming months to perform with us.
We are deeply sorry to Nouela and to anyone that plans on purchasing or listening to the songs.
Sincerely Yours,
Thomas J. Erak

Lifehouse’s upcoming album Who We Are update

Comments Off on Lifehouse’s upcoming album Who We Are update

Lifehouse has recently finished recording their fourth studio album Who We Are. ?I wanted to get back to our roots and make a rock record again,? group leader Jason Wade tells Billboard.com, ?I feel like our (self-titled) last record, leading off with ?You and Me,? the ballad, it kinda softened us up a little bit. I think people forget that we started off as an alternative band, then we kinda got immersed in that Adult Top 40 and Top 40 world. This time it was really refreshing just to plug our guitars back in and crank it up and play some uptempo rock music.?

Lifehouse wrote 16 songs and recorded 12 for the record. The first single is “First Time”. Which in terms of Wade, ?has that summertime, young love feel to it. I?m not really surprised they ended up picking it for the first single, since we?re coming out in summer.?

The album is scheduled for a release date of June 26th. A few weeks earlier they will begin a summer tour with the Goo Goo Dolls.

The Foo Fighters will begin recording their follow up to 2005’s In Your Honor. Foo Fighters have choosen Gil Norton to produce the album. In a recent interview with XFM Radio, frontman David Grohl said this:

We’ve been in the studio for the past month and a half, and we’ve got about another month to go. We’ve been recording with our friend Gil Norton. He worked on our second record, he’s a good guy and he makes amazing albums.

So we’re making a really big powerful record, which I’m very excited about and I cannot wait to finish. I’m not saying I’m not having fun., I’m saying I can’t wait to jump on stage and do this stuff, it’s gonna be great.

Green Day will be covering John Lennon‘s “Working Class Hero” on the upcoming album Instant Karma: The Campaign To Save Darfur. All proceeds will go to support Amnesty International’s campaign. The campaign is aimed towards the urgent catastrophe in Darfur, Sudan. “Working Class Hero” was featured on John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, album in 1970. The song was considered one of the most overtly political songs by the former Beatles, with its themes of class and social alienation. Green Day will also be shooting a music video for the song. Expect the single to be released on the radio and iTunes on April 30th.
