Watch this performance of Incubus performing the popular song Stand By Me on their current North American Tour.

I’ve been a big fan of Incubus for quite a number of years now and I finally made it to my first Incubus show. I had the exclusive privelage to meet the band, each member individually. The guys are an awesome group and talented graphically just as well as musically. Check out Brandon Boyd’s artwork and books at, some amazing stuff. After meeting with the band I was blown away with the performance. They played for nearly 2 hours and covered songs of nearly every album, including the cover song “Stand By Me”. I took quite a few pictures that I felt necessary to share with you. If you’re a fan of Incubus and have never seen them live, do make sure you do. Simply amazing.

And now, here are the pictures:

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Genre: Hard Rock, Alternative Metal
Sounds like: Strata, Chevelle, Smile Empty Soul
Current Album: Two
Official Site:

Crashing guitars, surging choruses, and head turning hooks. I don’t think I could have said it any better than that. Every song by Earshot is powerful, moving and full of energy, especially their 2nd album, Two. I love listening to this album over and over when I\’m running or working out. It electrifies you. Songs like “Wait”, “Someone” and “Fall-Apart” are some of my favorites. If you’re looking to update your iPod with some new music to hit the gym with, then Earshot will not fail you.

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY: Chiodos Baby, You Wouldn’t Last a Minute on the Creek

Back in 1995 on this day a former Led Zeppelin fan who calls the band’s music “satanic” is arrested for allegedly trying to stab guitarist Jimmy Page backstage with a pocket knife at a Page and Robert Plant concert in the Detroit area.

You and I are like oil and water, and we’ve been trying, trying trying ohhhh, to mix it up.

lyrics from Oil and Water by Incubus

I tried my hardest, but Carpal Tunnel Syndrome sucks ass…I played as long and as hard as i could, I tried stretching, Anti-inflammatories, Ice, Injections, Rest…everything i could, but to no avail. and now surgery is my final option. But, the good news is that the surgery has proven to be VERY effective in getting rid of my particular ailment, so all i need to do is not play guitar for a couple months and heal. In munich the other night, i smashed my guitar on the stage right before i walked off, for those of you who didn’t see it, because i was frustrated. My hand completely stopped working. I came out and played one more song in excruciating pain and needed to go home and see my doctors immediately. Then as soon as i knew i needed surgery, all i could think of was how dissappointed all of our fans out there were going to be…especially our south american friends who must think we hate them by now! MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES to everyone who was inconvenienced…but i promise i will make it up to every single one of you by giving you a sensual full-body massage, a fur coat, and a bentley. It’s the least i can do. But seriously, sorry boys and girls, i’ll see u all very soon. -mike
