Stone Sour to Release Special Edition Album

Comments Off on Stone Sour to Release Special Edition Album

Stone Sour will be releasing a special Edition CD/DVD album of their latest album Come Whatever May. Here’s the details from Roadrunner:

Grammy-nominated rock powerhouse Stone Sour is set to release a special, enhanced edition of their gold album “Come What(ever) May” on Roadrunner Records on June 26. The special edition is jam-packed with extensive bonus material. The audio portion boasts six previously unreleased and unavailable tracks, including an acoustic cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” recorded live for a Canadian radio performance earlier this year. The bonus DVD features all four music videos from “Come What(ever) May: “30/30-150,” “Through Glass,” “sillyworld” and the band’s latest “Made of Scars.” In addition, the DVD includes a never-before-seen full concert performance. Filmed in October 2006 in Moscow at the RAMP awards, the concert documents Stone Sour’s first and only visit to Russia, a must-have for fans.

“Now before all of you fans get upset about a re-release, (because I know how you are), let me just say that I am an avid music fan and a record collector. That’s why, when the decision was made to release a special edition, we knew that it had to be just that: special,” says guitarist Josh Rand. “We added everything we could possibly get our hands on, including an entire show from Russia, making it only the greatest special edition ever! You guys are gonna love it!”

Hometown: Davison, MI
Genre: Hardcore, Emo, Rock
Sounds like: The Fall Of Troy, From First To Last,
Current Album: All’s Well That Ends Well
Official Site:

I know I’m sure majority of you are familiar with Chiodos, but I just couldn’t resist writing something about these guys. Leaving in Flint, MI for the past 6 years it wasn’t hard not to hear of Chiodos. Seeing them play locally was a real treat. And now a few years later they have sky rocketed across America. For those of you who have yet to experience Chiodos, I demand that you goto their myspace right now and have a listen. They somewhat spuratic melody changes and massive technicality it their work is hard in itself, and then to make it sound good, they do that perfectly. Craig’s voice layered over top of that just adds to the dazzle. They are currently working on their sophomore album, scheduled to be released this fall, titled Bone Palace Ballet. Until then I’ll continue to rock out All’s Well That Ends Well, three years later.

In 1992 Def Leppard scored their second UK No.1 album with ‘Adrenalize’ the follow-up to the multi million selling ‘Hysteria’ album. Also, on the same day Pearl Jam appeared on US TV show Saturday Night Live from New York City.
