A radio station in Chicago, Illinois (Q101) played The White Stripes new album Icky Thump without their permission. It then became apparent that the copy of the album that was played on the radio was a bootleg version and now a version they received from the White Stripes or their record label. Lead singer, Jack White, personally called up the radio station and ripped on the studio and the DJ. Jack White was in Spain when he made the call. To read more about the story click here.

The White Stripes have announced the release date of their upcoming album, Icky Thump. The album is scheduled for release on June 18th in Europe and UK and June 19th in North America. They album art was also released. Further details can be found here and here.
