It’s rare that I come by a band that immediately catches my attention. Eyes Set To Kill has done that for me. They’ve crossed so many popular music styles today that makes it their own. Gut tearing screams woven delicately with an angel’s voice couldn’t have sounded any better. Eyes Set To Kill has it. I recently found out that their lead vocalist, Lindsay, has left the band on personal matters. The band has started a search process for a new vocalist. I’m not sure how this is going to effect the quickly developing band. We can only wait and see. Either way they’re all talented musicians and I can’t wait to see where they could go. Glory Of This has been around for awhile, releasing two albums, Adoration and their recent release The Lover, The Liar, The Ruse. I know I posted their myspace and I know they don’t have any tracks up their, but I suggest you check out their purevolume site. Glory Of This has a great blend of melodic singing and hard screams that is sure to impress you. I really love songs such as Circle Yes or No, Flip For It, and Where I Am Now. I wasn’t able to find out much more about the band, whether they’re still around or not, but I do hope they are. Great music.

This band is great if you want to just sit back and relax listening to good music. Their sound is really clean with great harmony and transitions. Some of their songs from there new album I like are Drama, This Morning, and White Flag. They recently cut a new track, “Dont Make Me Wait,” recorded especially for the film, Disturbia, was featured on the motion picture soundtrack on Lakeshore Records.

Element Eighty has a distinct sound that rocks. I know that may sound cliche, but it’s a given truth. They vocal ranges from a collective mellow voice to an earth shattering roar. Make sure to check out their self-titled album as well as The Bear. Favorite songs of mine include Texas Cries, Broken Promises, and Scars.

I came across this band a couple of days ago and really liked their sound. Their transitions are flawless with great guitar riffs and catchy lyrics. They are one of those bands that just get up pump, for whatever reason. Their new album, Fiends, comes out in stores tomorrow and I urge you to pick it up.

Plusminus X is a fresh new sound with heavy guitars, rattling bass, classical acoustic guitar, and an aggressive edge. During live performances, the energy the music contains is evident. They have developed an excellent underground following as a result of this energy. There album State Of Mind is definitely an all play. As we reported May 10, they have recently broke up due to internal issues, but there is always hope down the road for a reunion.

Inhale Exhale’s debut album is phenomenal. A strong mixture of hard rock and shattering screams. They’re music will definitely get your blood pulsing. If you’re not moving any part of your body after listening to their music, I suggest you check your pulse. Inhale Exhale definitely brings “it” to the table. Favorite tracks of mine include By Grace and Touch of Deception. So stop what you’re doing, inhale, exhale, and buy their album above.

Sound The Alarm has a sound to them that leave me happy. It’s like a build-in aura. They have catchy hooks and up beat music. They are getting ready to release their new album Stay Inside later this summer. I expect to hear these guys touring with some big artists, and making a big impression. This band is well developed and could only go one way…forward. Check out Suffocating on their myspace, great song.

If there had to be another side band that I could see going somewhere, it’d be Cinematic Sunrise. Many are now familiar with The Almost, Aaron Gillepsie of Underoath’s side band, and the success that they’ve reached. Well as for leader singer of Chiodos, Craig Owens, Cinematic Sunrise is the same. With beautiful and calm emotions and harmony, the couple demos they’ve released are phenomenal. I’ll look forward greatly to hearing more music by these guys.

Boys Night Out has been through a lot in their short career. It’s amazing to see how this band has progressed over time and evolved into a band that is well respected and deserved. Boys Night Out spilled a lot about the band in their DVD Dude You Need To Stop Dancing. The raw emotional rollercoaster the members of BNO has gone through show deeply in their music. If you’re new to Boys Night Out you must go pick up Trainwreck and listen to it from beginning to end as a vast and intricate story unfolds. Never has an album captured me such as this one, involving you into a story. I would love to see this CD wrapped into a featured film…maybe….one day. As for now check out their newly released EP Fifty Million People Can’t Be Wrong and get ready for yet another release this summer with their self titled album coming out. They recently posted a new song of their new album on their myspace Swift and Unforgiving.
