Genre: Screamo / Rock / Psychedelic
Sounds like: Thrice and Bless The Fall
Current Album: SAOSIN

Saosin has a different sound from most bands I listen too. They combine harmony and rythum along with hard core wrifs and incorporating all those aspects into the “Screamo” style of music. They are a great band to listen to. I definitely think you should get their self-titled album.

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY: Saosin You’re Not Alone

Thirty years ago today Alice Cooper’s boa constrictor, a co-star of his live act suffered a fatal bite from a rat it was being fed for breakfast. Cooper held auditions for a replacement and a snake named ‘Angel’ got the gig. Now that’s pretty crazy.

My mouth will overflow with your evil soul and I’ll be convulsing for days in this hole bubbling at the lips that you used to love to kiss

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Framing Hanley

Hometown: Nashville, TN
Genre: Rock / Alternative
Sounds like: Trust Company, Unwritten Law, Theory Of A Deadman
Current Album: The Moment
Myspace: myspace.com/framinghanley
Official Site: www.framinghanley.com

Framing Hanley has a great sound, but with their intense live shows the band quickly gained a large following in Nashville. In November of 2006 they signed with Silent Majority Group and just finished recording their debut album “The Moment.” Their new album is set to hit stores May 15th and I can’t wait to add this one to my collection. Some of the songs I really liked were Here me know, Home, and a slower track Alone in this bed. If your looking for a another good rock band this is the one.

What is a Daily Dose?

So I just recently got back from the Taste of Chaos 2007. Wow, what an awesome concert. The lineup was great and with the new revolving stage transition time from band to band was minimal and kept it going great. First Evaline played (we missed the first couple songs), then Aiden, Chiodos, Saosin, Senses Fail, 30 Seconds To Mars, and the Used (in that order).

The Used introduced us with a few new songs, some people may have already heard. The new songs were, The Bird and The Worm, Liar Liar, Pretty Handsome Awkward, and Hospital. The new album Lies For Liars is scheduled for release on May 22nd.

Chiodos also introduced a new song, which can be found in a previous post I left of a video of them. Also, exclusive to Detroit, Chiodos named their upcoming album Bone Palace Ballet, set to come out this Fall. I’m so pumped to hear it!

As for cameras, since you weren’t allowed to bring cameras in, I didn’t bother bringing it. Instead I used my nifty lil cell phone and snapped the following shots. Not bad for a cell phone eh?

So here are the pix:
