ARTIST OF THE DAY
The Confession

Hometown: Orange County, CA
Genre: Hard Rock, Metal
Sounds like: Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu
Current Album: The Confession
Myspace: myspace.com/theconfession
Official Site: theconfessionmusic.com

The Confession comes out with a lot of energy. I recently seen them in concert this past weekend and I was very impressed. I even picked up their EP and upcoming album Requiem. The Confession sounds very similar to Avenged Sevenfold, so much that even M. Shadows of A7X guest vocals on some of their tracks. Their album Requiem is scheduled to be released on June 19th. Listen to No Angel, Dance With The Devil, and Bleed You Dry. I expect to hear more about this guys. Oh and you can see them this year at Warped Tour.

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY: The Fall Of Troy FCPREMIX

In 1999, In no way was there an influence on Eric Harris and Dylan Kleibold, the gunman in Littleton Colo. shooting, Marilyn Manson issues a statement: “I have been asked to comment by numerous news organizations on the Colorado school tragedy. It’s tragic and disgusting anytime young people’s lives are taken in an act of senseless violence. My condolences go out to the students and their families.”

Atreyu new album and tour update

Comments Off on Atreyu new album and tour update

A recent message from Atreyu:

Hello everyone,

It?s been a while since we?ve made a vague semblance of an update, so here goes:

For the last few months we?ve been home working on songs for the new record. We ended up writing about 25, all of which we are really siked on. We’ve been working with John Feldman on this record, and we couldn?t be happier. In fact, we?ve been in the studio for about a month and things are coming out really awesome. This album is definitely on its way to being the biggest, most epic record to date for us. We?re counting down the days till we can play them for you.

On that note, we have been confirmed for the Family Values tour this summer. We?ll be playing along side Korn, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Hell Yeah, and Trivium. We’re really excited to be a part of such a big and amazing tour. There are going to be so many great bands that we’ll be sharing the stage with, we’re ecstatic. We can?t wait to get back out on the road and play shows for y?all again.

On a third note, we have a few live videos that will be available online in the near future. One is a video for ?Untitled Finale? that we shot on our World Championship tour (which we thank everyone again for making it our best headliner yet), and the other is an older video that we found of our cover of Bon Jovi’s ?You Give Love A Bad Name?. This video is compiled from footage form Warped Tour two years ago. It is a great live video that we thought was lost, but hey, we found it! Well that?s the Atreyu news for now. Keep your eyes and ears open for the new jams very very soon and we’ll look forward to seeing you aaaaall soon.

Atreyu working on fourth album

Comments Off on Atreyu working on fourth album

Atreyu is currently in studio recording to their fourth album. The album is being produced by John Feldmann, same man who signed The Used and produced Good Charlotte. Atreyu frontman Alex Varkatzas said the following about the new album, “I don’t want to give anything away, but we’re tossing around all kinds of ideas and are leaving ourselves open to endless possibilities. We are going to challenge ourselves.” We should expect to hear some tracks, during the 2007 Family Values Tour. The album is yet to be titled.
