ARTIST OF THE DAY
Jamie’s Elsewhere
Hometown: Sacramento, CA Genre: Rock, Screamo, Indie Sounds like: Silverstein, Emery, Taking Back Sunday Current Album: Goodbye Rocketman, St. George Is Under Fire Myspace: myspace.com/jamieselsewhere Official Site: Here’s a band that I’ve grown to love. I originally found them after the demise of Mozart Season. After hearing a few songs I was thoroughly impressed. Jamies Elsewhere’s sound is smooth and controlled, sometimes layered with raging vocals. I love their sound and what they can bring to the table. Jamie’s Elsewhere are in a elite group that has so many dynamics in their music, it’s just right. I’m looking forward to picking up their debut album in a couple weeks. Stop what you’re doing and check out their myspace. |

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY: Bullet For My Valentine Tears Don’t Fall
|
Four years ago today, Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was arrested on drugs and drink-driving charges after he collided with a car after going through a red light in his home town of Des Moines, Iowa. Gray, (who wears a pig mask on stage) then tried to write a cheque for $1,000 (£600) to the other driver, who then called the police. Gray failed two alcohol tests at the scene and was arrested for possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, as well drink-driving.
